Mareshet (Mambo) Meshesha
Exploration Manager
Mareshet (Mambo) Meshesha is a skilled Mine Geologist with over 30 years of experience, and has been Torque Metals’ Exploration Manager since September 2022. He has worked extensively on mineral projects across Western Australia, as well as in the Northern Territory, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
Mambo was previously a trained Energy Technologist at Kyushu University, Japan, and Auckland University, New Zealand. His expertise in geothermal exploration led to a Project Geologist role for the Langano Geothermal Project in the Great East African Rift Valley, where holes up to 3 km in depth were drilled to tap into the geothermal reservoir beneath the Aluto Caldera.
Most recently, he was a Mine Geologist for Red5 Limited on the Darlot underground mine in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, and also worked on Red5’s Great Western Open Pit and King of the Hills Development Project, which saw first gold produced on 5 June 2022.
Mambo has worked across multiple commodities on several projects, including Cassini Nickel, Sunrise Dam Gold, Silverlake Gold Mine, and TNG’s Titanium-Vanadium exploration project in the Northern Territory. His experience covers all aspects of exploration program design, including interpretation of geological, geochemical, and geophysical data.
