Daniel Lopez
Junior Geologist
Daniel joined Torque Metals as a Junior Geologist in 2024, with a keen interest in geophysics and extensive experience in acquiring and processing geophysical data. He specialises in geoelectric and magnetotelluric arrangements, with his expertise previously applied to significant energy projects. Daniel attained a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Exploration Geology and Mining from Curtin University, Western Australia.
Nicolas Zuluaga
Junior Geologist
Nicolas joined Torque Metals in 2024, with a strong academic background and experience across numerous exploration projects in Colombia, Oman and Australia. He attained a Bachelor of Science degree from Los Andes University in Colombia, and two Masters in Geology from the University of Bern, Switzerland and the University of Western Australia. He brings expertise in structural geology and economic geology across multiple commodities, and is skilled in field mapping, drill core logging, 3D modelling and geochemical targeting.
Diego Gonzalez
Junior Geologist
Diego joined Torque Metals as a Junior Geologist in 2023, with experience in mining exploration, economic and environmental geology. He is also skilled in data analysis, conducting fieldwork, mapping, logging, and preparing official reports. Diego holds a solid academic background from the National University of Colombia, complemented by a certification in Project Management from the Berkeley Business Institute, Sydney, Australia. He is currently pursuing a Master of Geoscience (Exploration and Mining Geology Major) at Curtin University.
Alejandro Nino Garcia
Junior Geologist
Alejandro joined Torque Metals in 2023, holding a degree in Geology from the University of Caldas (Colombia). He is proficient in geological cartography, handling of 3D modelling and geospatial analysis. Alejandro is a valuable asset to Torque Metals, with a commitment to ongoing research and education.
Leonardo Lopez
Geologist
Leonardo joined Torque Metals in 2023, with proficiency across a range of geological processes. He attained a bachelor’s degree in Geology from the National University of Colombia and is soon to commence a master’s research program in Machine Learning at Curtin University. Leonardo is skilled in geological cartography, survey of stratigraphic columns, palynology, petrography and litho-geochemical characterisation.
Fabian Abril
Geologist
Fabian is a Geologist at Torque Metals, bringing an assortment of Mining experience across the Energy sector, with a focus on environmental projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology from the National University of Colombia, where he became proficient in the handling of 3D modelling and geospatial analyses.
Cristian Moreno
Managing Director
Cristian Moreno was appointed as Torque Metals Managing Director in October 2022, after serving as CEO since April 2022. He has extensive experience as an exploration geologist and various roles in the resources and energy sectors, both internationally and in Australia.
Cristian holds a high distinction MSc (Geophysics) from Curtin University, as well as a BSc (Geology) and BEng (Agri. Eng.) from the National University of Colombia. He has completed postgraduate studies in Statistics & Data Science and is currently completing his MBA in Economics.

Henko is a Director of Nexia Australia. Nexia Australia is a member of Nexia International, a leading worldwide network of independent accounting and consulting firms that has been delivering a range of Managed Services to various listed (ASX, AIM, JSE) and unlisted entities for over 20 years.
Jim Kouvoussis
Chief Financial Officer
Jim is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with over 20 years of Commercial and Accounting experience gained in Australia and abroad. He has extensive financial and corporate governance experience with ASX Listed companies, including capital raisings, takeovers, floating companies on the ASX (IPO) and asset acquisitions and divestments.
Jaime Cortes
Junior Geologist
Jaime joined Torque Metals as a Junior Geologist in 2023, with a host of experience in similar roles in Colombia. He has attained an Honours bachelor’s degree in geology from the Industrial University of Santander (Colombia), and an MSc in Geology from the National University of Colombia. Jaime has experience carrying out geochemical, geophysical and mineralogical analyses, as well as interpreting geospatial information on mining projects.
André Hanekom
Senior Resource Geologist
André joined Torque Metals in 2023, with over 15 years’ experience as a geologist on numerous mining projects across South Africa and Perth.
Most recently, he was a Senior Resource Consultant at RSC, a mining and mineral exploration company, and previously worked as a Senior Geologist at Glencore, where he supported the optimisation of the KCC Copper Mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
André holds an MSc (Mineral Resource Evaluation) from the University of Witwatersrand, as well as a BSc (Geology/Earth Science) from the Tshwane University of Technology. He has also completed a Stata Control Certificate in Rock Engineering from the University of South Africa.
Mareshet (Mambo) Meshesha
Exploration Manager
Mareshet (Mambo) Meshesha is a skilled Mine Geologist with over 30 years of experience, and has been Torque Metals’ Exploration Manager since September 2022. He has worked extensively on mineral projects across Western Australia, as well as in the Northern Territory, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
Mambo was previously a trained Energy Technologist at Kyushu University, Japan, and Auckland University, New Zealand. His expertise in geothermal exploration led to a Project Geologist role for the Langano Geothermal Project in the Great East African Rift Valley, where holes up to 3 km in depth were drilled to tap into the geothermal reservoir beneath the Aluto Caldera.
Most recently, he was a Mine Geologist for Red5 Limited on the Darlot underground mine in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, and also worked on Red5’s Great Western Open Pit and King of the Hills Development Project, which saw first gold produced on 5 June 2022.
Mambo has worked across multiple commodities on several projects, including Cassini Nickel, Sunrise Dam Gold, Silverlake Gold Mine, and TNG’s Titanium-Vanadium exploration project in the Northern Territory. His experience covers all aspects of exploration program design, including interpretation of geological, geochemical, and geophysical data.
Tony Lofthouse
Non-Executive Director
Tony has more than 43 years of working in the resources sector in Australia, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. He has a wide range of experience including working as a field geologist; a resources equity analyst; a corporate banker managing a portfolio of resource and infrastructure customers; and most recently 7 years as CEO of ASX-listed explorer Ora Gold Limited.
Andrew Woskett
Non-Executive Director
Andrew Woskett is a highly respected senior executive with over 40 years of project and corporate experience in the resources industry. He brings a wealth of experience in bringing assets to development, having been responsible for evaluation, definition, promotion, financing and management of multiple resource projects in gold, base metals, nickel, iron ore and coal. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and has an engineering degree and Masters degree in Commercial Law.

Imants Kins is a highly respected senior executive with more than 40 years’ experience in the resources and technology sectors as an active executive and non-executive director/chairman of ASX-listed companies, unlisted companies, and not-for-profit organisations. Imants was involved with Tantalum Australia (ASX:TAA) for 5 years across numerous roles, including Managing Director. TAA was a previous holder of tantalum and associated minerals tenements across the New Dawn Lithium Project, adding significant value to the upcoming exploration advancements by Torque Metals.
